Cruise passenger moans about 'really annoying' problem with sea view balcony

One cruise passenger has recently discovered a major problem with a balcony cabin - one of the most popular and expensive room choices available.
The rooms give passengers the luxury of an amazing view compared to other cabins, but an "unforeseen issue" made one passenger regret their booking choice.
Because they were travelling with a three-year-old, they opted for a balcony cabin so that they could still sit outside and relax when the youngster was asleep, the Express reports.
But one annoying habit from other passengers made them feel like they had made the wrong choice.
On Reddit, they said: “We didn’t want to miss out on sitting outside and relaxing when [my daughter] was sleeping. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m hyper sensitive due to not wanting my toddler being woken from her nap early or if the constant door slamming would still really annoy me.
“Honestly I think it would still really annoy me. I know that whenever I close any door on the ship, even if it’s a door going out on a deck, I will hold onto the door and make sure it doesn’t slam shut.
“It doesn’t take but five seconds to be courteous and close a door without letting it slam shut.
“No one would do it in their home so I’m not sure why people allow their balcony door to slam shut every time they walk in and out.”
Cabin doors usually have a habit of swinging shut on their own due to the windy conditions if they aren't closed properly.
But people in the comments were quick to offer their advice to the passenger about what they should do next time they book a cruise.
