Coronavirus infection rates are continuing to plummet across Greater Manchester, as one borough has seen a weekly drop of almost 60 per cent.
Latest data has revealed that all ten boroughs have seen a decrease in Coronavirus infection rates.
However the infection rate across the region is still higher than the national average.
Tameside now has the highest coronavirus infection rate in Greater Manchester, replacing Bolton, with a rate of 1127.6 per 100,000 people as of January 14.
The lowest infection rate is in Stockport, where the rate is 905.2 cases per 100,000 people.

The Greater Manchester weekly total has decreased by 32338 cases compared to the previous week, which means the infection rate was down 53 per cent in the last week.

Prior to January 11, people who tested positive using a lateral flow test were asked to take a PCR test to confirm the result, but the need for the follow up PCR has since been scrapped for those without symptoms.
