The number of Covid infections remains high in Scotland - despite a drop in cases over the past couple of weeks.
On January 3, Scotland recorded its highest ever numbers of daily Covid infections with more than 20,000 positive cases identified over a 24 hour period.
Numbers have declined somewhat since then, with Thursday's daily figure coming in at 8,262.
More restrictions will be lifted next week amid ‘encouragement’ from the Scottish Government on the recent Covid data.
Meanwhile an NHS nurse in the east London borough of Newham has insisted she would rather lose her job than get vaccinated against Covid-19.
All frontline NHS workers in England are facing the sack if they have not had two jabs by April 1, meaning that they must receive their first dose by February 3.
There is not currently a mandatory requirement for NHS staff in Scotland to do the same.

The unvaccinated nurse, from London, told of her fury at the rule and described it as an "infringement of her human rights", as reported by The Mirror.
She said: "How can you force me to put something in my body and if I disagree then I'm out of a job and potentially lose my home?
"I don't know how I'm going to pay my mortgage, I don't know how I'm going to pay my bills but it's a risk I'm willing to take for my human rights."
