Courteeners announce one-off Middlesbrough show for later this month

Ash have announced reissues of their ‘1977’ and ‘Free All Angels’ albums, as well as live shows for the latter with longtime guitarist Charlotte Hatherley.‘1977’, the band’s debut album from 1996, will be reissued for the first time on splatter vinyl on July 1, with 2001’s ‘Free All Angels’ arriving on September 16.The week the ‘Free All Angels’ reissue comes to shops, Ash will play three UK shows where they will perform the album in its entirety and be joined by Hatherley, who played with the Northern Irish rockers from 1997-2006 and reunited with them at London show last year.The gigs will begin at the O2 Ritz in Manchester on September 15, before the band play Birmingham’s O2 Institute (17) and the Kentish Town Forum in London (18).“We’re delighted to announce that we will be commemorating the 21st anniversary of the release of our 2001 classic, ‘Free All Angels’,” drummer Rick McMurray said in a statement. “Not least because we will be joined by the fourth member of Ash, guitarist extraordinaire, all-round Shining Light, the one and only, Charlotte Hatherley.

James Bay has announced plans for a UK and Ireland tour and shared a video for his recent single ‘One Life’.The Hitchin singer-songwriter will hit the road in the autumn kicking off at Bournemouth O2 Academy on November 20.The jaunt will also call at Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Edinburgh, Dublin and Birmingham before wrapping up at London’s O2 Brixton Academy on December 2 and Bristol O2 Academy the following night (3).Pre-sale tickets will go on sale next Wednesday (May 25) from 9am until 8am on Friday (May 27). Yard Act have announced their biggest headline show to date and shared the new video for their track ‘100% Endurance’ – you can watch the clip below.The song is taken from the Leeds four-piece’s debut album ‘The Overload’, which arrived back in January.The video for ‘100% Endurance’ was filmed in Blackpool and directed by Yard Act’s longtime collaborator James Slater, with the clip starring the actor David Thewlis. “I’ve told my agent I’m only doing Yard Act videos from now on, though next time on a tropical island or a big yacht,” the Fargo and Harry Potter actor said in a statement.Speaking about the ‘100% Endurance’ video, Yard Act frontman James Smith added: “It was great shooting this video.

She left the church when she was 16, and her parents followed suit two years later.“As our first album we’re really excited to just get it out there,” Walpole said in a statement about ‘Congregation’. “We feel that it’s a step above what we’ve done before as we had a chance to experiment with sound and structure.
