It is a sad day for Coronation Street fans.
It has been announced that Mark Eden, the actor who played Alan Bradley in the soap, has passed away, aged 92.
The actor who became a mainstay in British TV was married to fellow Weatherfield resident, his partner on-screen and in life, Sue Nicholls (aka Audrey Roberts).
In a statement released by his agent, it was announced that he died peacefully in hospital early on New Year’s Day.
