Coronation Street actress Sally Carman has spoken out on the aftermath of Abi Webster’s ‘surprise’ baby storyline, revealing the shocked mum pays tribute to her late son Seb with her new arrival’s name. Soap fans were left open-mouthed at the end of Sunday 6 March’s cliffhanger episode when Abi went into labour with Imran Habeeb’s (Charlie De Melo) baby at the side of the road.
In scenes that air this week, Abi, who recently split from husband Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell), will make it to the hospital in time to give birth to her baby boy - but she soon does a runner as the panic sets in. However, before Abi returns to the famous cobbles, she decides to name her newborn and makes a touching nod to her Seb after he was tragically murdered in May 2021.
