Coronation Street star Liam McCheyne has confirmed that he will be returning to the ITV soap as Sean Tully’s son Dylan Wilson. Taking to social media over the weekend, the actor posted a picture of his scripts as he announced his comeback to the cobbles. Liam was last seen in Weatherfield as his character Dylan in 2020 and he is due to start filming on 17 May.The young actor penned on Twitter: "BIG NEWS‼️‼️ Can't wait and super excited to get back to work @itvcorrie on May 17th.

Liam's character Dylan is the on-screen son of Sean, played by Antony Cotton, after he agreed to be a donor for his friend Violet Wilson, played by Jenny Platt, in 2007.
It is not known what his storyline will involve but his return is set to air on screen over the summer. Soap fans were quick to share their excitement over the return as one put: "Looking forward to your return Liam. Glad you’re coming back stay safe and hope all is well with you." A different viewer wrote: "Great! About time." Another follower commented: "Yes Liam" with celebrating emojis.
