Now it’s been revealed that actress and TV presenter Kym, 45, will be stepping into the shoes of school canteen worker Nicky Walters, who is also mum to two pupils who attend the secondary school.

Jacob yells at Asha to call an ambulance and later at the hospital, Tracy and Steve McDonald worry with the latter convinced that Jacob spiked her drink.Things go from bad to worse when Jacob reveals they are a couple, and despite saving Amy's life, Steve warns him off his daughter before punching him.

Coronation Street actor Chris Gascoyne has portrayed the role of Peter Barlow since joining the hit ITV soap in 2000. Coronation Street viewers are in for a big change this week, as the ITV soap schedule gets a shake-up because of a clash with the FA cup coverage.This week, Corrie, which usually airs two half-hour episodes at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays plus one episode on Fridays, will look a little different. While the week started normally with two installments on Monday 31st January, the rest of the days have all been altered slightly. Due to the FA cup coverage being broadcast on ITV on Friday 4th February, there will be no double bill of Corrie going out ahead of the weekend.
