Coronation Street star Rebecca Ryan has married her fiancé Dan Acraman. The actress, 31, who played Lydia Chambers on the cobbles, took to Instagram to post a stunning black-and-white snap from their nuptials, which took place on Saturday 24 September. Rebecca penned: "Husband and Wife 24.09.22 - The best day of our lives!" with heart emojis.
In the photo, the actress looks stunning in a strapless white gown complete with a pendant necklace and statement crown. While her new husband, British Airways pilot Dan, looked dapper in a black tuxedo complete with a bowtie. The actress' former Corrie co-stars were quick to share their congratulations as Summer Spellman star Harriet Bibby wrote: "THE most beautiful Bride" with heart emojis.
While Nina Lucas star Mollie Gallagher sweetly put: "Awww congratulations" with a collection of heart emojis. It comes after Rebecca revealed in March during an appearance on Lorraine that she was originally forced to delay her wedding plans due to Covid. Lorraine highlighted that Rebecca has been with her fiancé – British Airways pilot Dan – "for a long, long time".
Lorraine explained: "You've been together with your partner for a long long time. I know that you wanted to get married, but of course Covid got in the way. Is that likely to happen?" To which Rebecca laughed, before saying: "Yes, we were supposed to get married two years ago, but Covid hit, so we're back to square one now really – looking for a venue because we couldn't change the date.
