Jack P Shepherd appeared back in full health as he was seen returning to work after recovering from Covid-19. Earlier this month, the Coronation Street star revealed he would miss filming for the ITV soap for a while after catching the virus, after first noticing his symptoms in the shower. And on Wednesday 19 January, the 34 year old was seen arriving back on the soap's set in Media City, Manchester. The actor, who plays the role of David Platt in Corrie, cut a casual figure as he wore a bright red jumper with black stripes and added a warm black padded jacket.
Speaking of his Covid diagnosis, Jack previously said he noticed he could have the illness after first noticing symptoms while he was in the shower. Speaking on the Sofa Cinema Club podcast, Jack said he noticed he had the virus after using a shower gel but was unable to smell it at the same time. He said: "I have the vid, it caught me.
I don't have any symptoms. Nothing. I was in the shower Monday morning, and I can't smell the shampoo and I go, 'This is weird.' "Shower gel - nothing.
It's an FCUK box set, Hanni's mum got me it for Christmas." He added: "So I'm using that, and I can't smell it, but I've never used it before, so I don't know whether it's just s*** or I can't smell it. "So I get out and go, 'I'll clean my teeth now.' Can't taste any toothpaste or mouthwash. And I go, 'Ooh, this is a big one'." Jack explained he had to ring his work and tell them he couldn't taste or smell, so he was advised to do a lateral flow, which came out with two lines meaning he was positive.
