Coronation Street fans furious over latest Michelle Connor update as son Ryan remains in hospital

Coronation Street fans have been left furious after an update about former Weatherfield resident Michelle Connor. Michelle, played by Morning Live host Kym Marsh, 46, left Weatherfield back in 2019 following a dramatic few months on the cobbles Barmade Michelle left the iconic street after she discovered that Ray Crosby who made sexual advances towards her was the new owner of The Bistro.
She previously ran the restaurant with her late fiancée Robert Preston, who was shot dead by Derek Milligan at Christmas in 2019. Michelle made her exit just days after he was killed, for a new life in Dublin – meaning Kym left the show after a 13-year stint.
Her son, Ryan, has remained behind, but Michelle has been very rarely mentioned until recently after Ryan became the victim of a traumatic acid attack. As Ryan has recovered from his acid attack he contracted Sepsis and is now back in hospital with aunt Carla Barlow by his side.That is despite a struggling Ryan telling her that she should go home and that she doesn't need to be with him.
Carla replied to him saying: "I promised your mum I wouldn't let you out of my sight from here on out." The small mention of Ryan's mum got Corrie fans talking, but they weren't happy that Michelle is not returning to support her son. One person on social media was unhappy, saying: "Carla promised Ryan's 'mother' she'd look after him....yes of course.
"Michelle is so worried, she can't be bothered to even surface with a new face #Corrie."
