Comedian Munya Chawawa first burst onto the scene back in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic. Much to the delight of social media users everywhere, he provided some welcome relief - and humour - to the mundane days of lockdown with his different styles of comedy. From political satire to character comedy to black comedy to improv, the 30 year old is a jack of all trades when it comes to being funny.
But aside from all that, what else do we know about Munya? Here’s the inside scoop on his life, including his rise to fame and his stunning girlfriend. How old is Munya Chawawa? Munya was born on 29th December 1992, making him 30 years old - and a Capricorn. Where did he grow up? Munya was born in Derby in the UK, but grew up in Zimbabwe.
During his youth, his family returned to the UK, and settled in Norwich, Norfolk where he studied at Notre Dame High School. Speaking to Patta in 2020 about his roots in Zimbabwe, the 30 year old said: “I tell people I’m Zimbabwean because, you know when you just connect with a place so deeply? Growing up in Zimbabwe, people are so positive and so happy you really do believe you can do anything." What is he known for? The comedian is most recognised for his development and portrayal of characters, including chef, Jonny Oliver (a parody of Jamie Oliver) and Unknown P, a posh drill raper. On the creation on Unknown P, Munya said he developed him “as a nod towards the appropriation and false ownership of black culture that often happens in western societies.” Even though past interviews have seen Munya claim he’s been doing comedy “for years,” his big break really came during the pandemic.

It just never ends with this guy… And why not, since his followers have fully bought into the defense that every investigation into Donald Trump is just a massive conspiracy and all-capitals WITCH HUNT.
Julia MacCary editor Ally Love already wears quite a few hats: Peloton instructor and global lead of instructor strategic initiatives, “Courtside Conversations” podcast host and producer, Adidas global ambassador, Brooklyn Nets in-arena host, model, “Love Squad” founder and CEO, to name a few. But the social media and dance personality has a new title – competitive game show host – to add to the list. Love, a former Knicks City Dancer, is hosting Netflix’s “Dance 100,” where dancers get the power in a show that is looking for the best choreographer. Unless the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame can find a way to be more inclusive, it can “go to hell in a handbag,” according to rocker Courtney Love.
The Guardian.“If so few Black artists, so few women of color, are being inducted, then the voting process needs to be overhauled. Music is a lifeforce that is constantly evolving — and they can’t keep up.” The 58-year-old “Miss Narcissist” singer’s damning essay lists industry pioneers and visionaries like Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Chaka Khan, and Kate Bush as women who have been overlooked for years by the Rock Hall’s nominating board and voting body.
The grumpy to her sunshine. Drew Barrymore came to Hugh Grant’s defense after the actor received negative backlash for his recent interview with Ashley Graham.
Jazz Tangcay Artisans Editor The post-production editors behind “Saturday Night Live” have reached a tentative agreement with NBC, averting the strike deadline of April 1. If ultimately ratified by the crew made up of 12 to 20 workers, the three-year deal will result in pay increases of up to 60% over the life of the contract and deliver immediate pay boosts. The contract will offer workers healthcare benefits, ratification bonuses, guarantees of employer-paid meals, transportation and hotel accommodations for employees working long shifts with short turnarounds. Julia MacCary editor Courtney Love has taken aim at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, penning a scathing essay that calls out the dearth of women and Black artists showcased in the Cleveland-based organization. “If so few women are being inducted into the Rock Hall, then the nominating committee is broken,” Love wrote in an op-ed for the Guardian. “If so few Black artists, so few women of colour, are being inducted, then the voting process needs to be overhauled. Music is a lifeforce that is constantly evolving – and they can’t keep up. Shame on HBO for propping up this farce.” Love did not hold back when calling out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. “Barely 8% of its inductees are female. The canon-making doesn’t just reek of sexist gatekeeping, but also purposeful ignorance and hostility,” wrote Love, a musician, songwriter and actor who led the 1990s band Hole and was married to the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain (who was posthumously inducted).
Courtney Love has reiterated her call for more female acts to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, while highlighting that there are also “few” past inductees of Black origin. The Hole vocalist recently took to social media to respond to an article titled ‘Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame celebrates women who rock’, which had been shared by author and journalist Jessica Hopper.“Do they tho?” Hopper wrote. “719 inductees to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, only 61 are women.
