Coleen Rooney 'considers damages claim against Rebekah Vardy after libel win in new Wagatha clash'

Coleen Rooney is said be “considering a damages claim against Rebekah Vardy". Following the Wagatha Christie verdict that saw Rebekah lose her High Court libel battle, Coleen is now reportedly considering launching her own legal action against the 40 year old.
The Sun has reported that Coleen, 36, is meeting lawyers in the coming days to discuss the possibility of pursuing legal action as a source said: “It’s quite possible that could involve her own damages claim against Becky for misuse of private information and breach of data protection.” The source continued: “It was a big win for Coleen. She was pleased with the judgment, but not surprised.
“She’s going to take the next few days to reflect before discussing the next steps with her legal team. “It is quite possible that could involve her own damages claim against Becky for misuse of private information and a breach of data protection laws.

In her ruling, the judge said it was “likely” that Rebekah's agent at the time, Caroline Watt, “undertook the direct act” of passing the information to The Sun, condemned "vile" trolls who sent abuse after Coleen's initial post and labelled Rebekah's evidence "manifestly inconsistent" with other evidence heard by the court.
