The concert version of Diana the Musical will see an older Diana both narrating and reflecting back on her life and that of her 19-year old self, played in two parts, by Kerry Ellis (Wicked, Anything Goes) and Maiya Quansah-Breed (original cast member of Six).

Blackie Onassis, the Urge Overkill drummer who played on the remake of “Girl, You’ll Be a Woman Soon” that was featured in Pulp Fiction and on the band’s 1993 hit “Sister Havana,” has died. His bandmates confirmed the news but gave no details including his age and cause of death.

A new Beatles song is on the way, with the help of artificial intelligence.

Ethan Shanfeld Olivia Rodrigo is back with “Vampire,” a brand new single out June 30. She announced the song on social media, with artwork showcasing a black-and-white profile shot of Rodrigo, wearing two purple bandaids on her neck. The song, via Geffen Records, marks Rodrigo’s first original music since her 2021 breakout album, “Sour.” According to a press release, “‘Vampire’ is the sound of an artist firmly in control, imbued with a sense of maturity and a bold confidence… With ‘Vampire,’ she is poised to begin an exciting new chapter.” Rodrigo wrote it with her trusted “Sour” collaborator Dan Nigro.

BBC Radio 4’s Today program that AI technology was used to “extricate” the late John Lennon’s voice from a demo made before his songwriting partner’s murder, and used to complete the recording.“We just finished it up and it’ll be released this year,” Sir Paul told the program.McCartney did not provide the name of the song. BBC speculated it could be a piece written by Lennon in 1978 called “Now And Then,” recorded two years before he was gunned down in front of his New York City apartment building.The composition was previously considered a possible “reunion song” for the Beatles in 1995, when they were compiling the “Anthology” series, the BBC noted.

Then, he sits down so Rebillet can thrust himself from between his legs — an infant, crying on the floor.

It will be, he declares frequently, “A masterpiece!” Director Kim Jee-woon does not seem to harbor similar aspirations for his meta-movie “Cobweb” — his loosest, least substantial and most slapdash film in quite some time — though it’s safe to say the gulf between it and masterpiece status is a little wider than a two-day reshoot could possibly bridge. A film containing another film; a filmmaker referring to the trials of a filmmaker: It’s a movie of many layers, all of them garish and goofy, none of them great.
