A spokesperson for the RNLI said in a statement: "On Monday evening, HM Coastguard rescue teams from Lochmaddy, Benbecula and Lochboisdale were sent to help Police Scotland with the search for a missing man on North Uist.
"The Coastguard helicopter from Stornoway and a lifeboat from Leverburgh have also assisted with the search, which continued today." Anyone who has seen or spoken to Duncan at any time since Wednesday, November 9 or has any other information on his whereabouts is asked to call 101, quoting reference 1261 of 14 November.
