Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic The CMT Music Awards telecast has added some star power to this coming Sunday’s CBS telecast, with a couple of pairings that match famous female pop stars with women artists in the country world, plus a lifetime honor for crossover queen Shania Twain. On the collaborative front, Gwen Stefani will join recent No. 1 country hitmaker Carly Pearce for a duet of a yet-unannounced song. And Alanis Morissette will be joined on her original signature number, “You Oughta Know,” by four of country’s most compelling young artists — Morgan Wade, Madeline Edwards and chart-toppers Lainey Wilson and Ingrid Andress (plus guitarist Jackie Venson) — as part of a salute to the 10th anniversary of CMT’s Next Women of Country initiative. All four of Morissette’s singing counterparts on this collab came up being featured as part of the annual Next Women lineups.

And in this very special case, it’s beautiful to meet and witness the people coming up now in this generation. It’s a special moment in my career.” Fresh off his In Memoriam performance at the 95th Oscars ceremony, Kravitz’s schedule is as busy as can be. Aside from hosting the awards show on March 27, Kravitz is also set to deliver a “roughly four-minute” medley of at least three of his career-defining tracks — a challenging feat for the artist, whose catalog spans over three decades of hits.

Following Naomi's death last year, McBryde joined The Judds and they toured together as part of Wynonna's The Judds: The Final Tour, which continued as planned as a tribute to Naomi.Wynonna and McBryde recently kicked off the 2023 leg of the tour, which will also include Brandi Carlile, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town and Tanya Tucker for select dates. Naomi and Wynonna brought down the house at last year's CMT Awards with an unforgettable performance, which also marked their triumphant TV return after more than 20 years.

BBC series This Is Going to Hurt and The Responder lead the nominations at the Bafta television and craft awards with six each.The broadcaster was the clear leader ahead of the ceremony in April with a total of 81 nominations across both TV and craft categories, while Channel 4 was second with 33, Netflix has 24 and ITV 19.This year’s categories also included first-time nominations for acting heavyweights Cillian Murphy, Gary Oldman, Daniel Radcliffe and Taron Egerton. 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards is gearing up to be another unforgettable night for music. On Tuesday, it was announced that Lenny Kravitz will serve as the host of the ceremony, where he’ll also perform.Additionally, LL Cool J and Latto will hit the stage, joining previously announced performers Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Keith Urban, Pat Benatar, Neil Giraldo, Muni Long and Cody Johnson.

For the second year in a row, the three-hour telecast will be getting its premiere network airing on CMT’s big sister network, CBS — along with a livestream on Paramount+ — and for the first time, it will be based out of Austin. The show goes out live from the Moody Center April 2 at 8 p.m. ET on the broadcast network and airs tape-delayed in the same time slot on the west coast. Several days after the broadcast and streaming premiere, the show will appear on its titular network, CMT, as an “extended cut” with 30 minutes of additional material, bringing the running time there to three and a half hours. That expanded edition bows on CMT April 6 at 8 ET/PT.

Taylor Swift will receive the 2023 iHeartRadio Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards later this month, which will feature performances by Kelly Clarkson, Keith Urban, Pat Benatar, Muni Long, Cody Johnson, Coldplay and Pink, who is this year's Icon Award recipient. The Innovator Award is presented to an artist who has "impacted global pop culture throughout their career." Past recipients include Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, U2 and Alicia Keys.
