CMA Awards 2022 Nominations - Full List Released: Taylor Swift, Blake Lively, & More Nominated This Year!

Taylor Swift fans went into a frenzy after the NFL announced Friday its multi-year partnership with Apple Music as the new sponsor for the iconic Super Bowl Halftime Show.  But it wasn't so much the announcement that had Swifties excited.

Carly Pearce, Cody Johnson, Kane Brown, Luke Combs and Walker Hayes were announced as CMT's 2022 Artists of the Year. The network will honor the five musicians during its annual television special, which will take place on October 14 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic The lineup of five honorees for CMT’s Artists of the Year special has been set, with Walker Hayes, Carly Pearce and Cody Johnson being celebrated on the annual show for the first time, joining previous honorees Luke Combs and Kane Brown. Filmed, as always, at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the 90-minute “CMT Artists of the Year” will air on CMT Oct. 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT after being taped in the week. The non-competitive show is a more intimate complement to the larger-scale, fan-voted CMT Awards, with honorees being selected by the network from among the artists deemed to have made the most collective impact during the preceding year.

Blake Lively just shared a series of pregnancy photos with husband Ryan Reynolds and BFF Taylor Swift and others. Paramount+ has announced additional actors, who will be joining Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren in Taylor Sheridan’s “1923,” the latest “Yellowstone” prequel from series mastermind Taylor Sheridan. Joining Ford and Mirren in the new show are Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, James Badge Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves and Julia Schlaepfer.“1923” follows “1883,” the most-watched Paramount+ title ever globally, according to Paramount.

Country music star Lainey Wilson led Wednesday's Country Music Association Awards nominations. This year marks Wilson's first year to be nominated, and she earned nods in six categories, including album of the year, female vocalist of the year and song of the year. Wilson came out ahead with six nominations when the Country Music Association announced the finalists Wednesday morning for its 56th annual awards show. Close behind with five nominations each was a quartet of contenders: Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Chris Stapleton and songwriter/producer Shane McAnally. Racking up a four-pack of nods were Cody Johnson and writer-producer Josh Osbourne. Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs, Hardy and Midland all came up as triple-nominees.

Taylor Swift has announced three new collectable editions of her forthcoming 10th studio album, ‘Midnights’, all of which will boast unique features and will only be available to purchase for a limited time.The three different variants are a ‘Jade Green’ edition, a ‘Blood Moon’ edition and a ‘Mahogany’ edition. Each is named for the colour it represents – for example, the ‘Jade Green’ edition has the title and tracklisting on the album’s front cover (as well as the left-side bar of the CD version’s jewel case) printed in a muted gradient of deep greens, while the original version is laid out in blue.Similarly, the ‘Blood Moon’ edition of ‘Midnights’ features a gradient of deep red to orange, and the ‘Mahogany’ edition comes with brown and gold accents.
