Kehlani has extended their ‘Blue Water Road Trip’ world tour to include dates in Australia and New Zealand.Celebrating the release of their latest album, ‘Blue Water Road’, the NME cover star will venture to the southern hemisphere next January. Kicking off their tour in Auckland, New Zealand, the R&B star will then head to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, wrapping up in the lattermost city on January 31.

BBC Radio 3 has announced the musicians that will join the next phase of its New Generation Artists programme, who will work with the broadcaster from September this year through to December 2024, initially crossing over with the last team of musicians participating in the scheme.The programme, in the words of the BBC itself, “supports young musicians at the beginning of their international careers with performance opportunities in London and around the UK”.That includes solo shows as well as performances with the BBC orchestras and appearances at festivals including the BBC Proms, Cheltenham Festival and Edinburgh International Festival, with broadcasts of those performances on Radio 3 and other radio stations around Europe bringing participating musicians to a wider audience.The new team taking part in the programme includes three UK musicians – accordionist Ryan Corbett, jazz pianist Fergus McCreadie and countertenor Hugh Cutting – plus, from beyond the UK, Colombian cellist Santiago Cañón-Valencia, Berlin-based Leonkoro Quartet, New Zealand-born violinist Geneva Lewis and South African soprano Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha.Says Radio 3 Controller Alan Davey: “It is a privilege for Radio 3 to be providing performance and broadcast opportunities to young artists as they embark on their international careers. Thania Garcia Just days after his “One Night Only” performance in New York, Harry Styles took a trip to the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to cover fast-rising British indie combo Wet Leg’s second single, “Wet Dream.” Considering that some of his recent covers have been by Britney Spears and Judy Garland (at his “Harryween” concerts in New York last fall, anyway), the song might have seemed a surprising cover, but the group, based around the duo of singer-songwriters Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, will open for Styles on his tour of Australia and New Zealand early next year.During his visit to the BBC Lounge, Styles gave his own rendition of the song which Wet Leg’s Rhian Teasdale had previously described as “a breakup song; it came about when one of my ex’s went through a stage of texting me after we’d broken up telling me that ‘he had a dream about me’.” Dressed in his usual colorful garbs and ’70s bell bottoms, Styles rattles out the song’s flirty lyrics about “touching yourself” and “licking the windscreen” — making for a performance that really “is enough to make a girl blush.” Watch the full video below.Since its release on Friday, Styles’ third solo album “Harry’s House” and its standout single, “As It Was,” have already topped the charts in multiple countries.

Christian Cooper — the black man and avid bird-watcher at the center of the 2020 “Central Park Karen” fiasco — has scored a TV gig at National Geographic.Cooper, 59, will host a series for the nature channel called “Extraordinary Birder.”The lifelong bird enthusiast will take viewers “into the wild, wonderful and unpredictable world of birds,” according to National Geographic.The channel has yet to announce a release date.“Whether braving stormy seas in Alaska for puffins, trekking into rainforests in Puerto Rico for parrots, or scaling a bridge in Manhattan for a peregrine falcon, he does whatever it takes to learn about these extraordinary feathered creatures and show us the remarkable world in the sky above,” the network said in a statement. Cooper, a Harvard University graduate, has been an avid warbler-watcher since he was 10.

“Deadpool 2” star Julian Dennison is set to star in “One Winter,” a coming-of-age drama set in his native New Zealand during a period of racial unrest in the 1980s.Dennison will lead a cast that also includes Minnie Driver, James Rolleston and Erana James and that is directed by Paul Middleditch and Hamish Bennett. Blue Fox Entertainment is handling international sales and introducing the film in Cannes, which kicks off today.

Sigur Rós recently kicked off their 2022 world tour and have debuted new material – watch below.The band announced details of their huge world tour in February, which would be their first in almost five years. As well as Mexico, Canada and the United States, they’ll be heading to New Zealand and Australia in August, followed by Asia, and then the UK and Europe from September onwards.The Icelandic post-rock band started their tour in Mexico City on April 28, where they opened their 20-song set with ‘Svefn-g-englar’, marking the first time they’ve played the track since 2013.They then following this with ‘Rafmagnið búið’, giving the track from their 1999 album ‘Ágætis byrjun’, its live debut.
