Eckhart joins previously announced series stars Viola Davis and Michelle Pfeiffer, who will play Michelle Obama and Betty Ford respectively.

Aaron Eckhart is set to co-star opposite Viola Davis and Michelle Pfeiffer in The First Lady (working title), Showtime’s anthology executive produced by Davis and directed and executive produced by Susanne Bier.

Netflix and Judd Apatow are teaming up for a comedy titled “The Bubble,” as mentioned in Deadline’s new report. They also add the film’s impressive cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Karen Gillan, “Borat 2” actress Maria Bakalova, Keegan-Michael Key, Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, David Duchovny, Leslie Mann, and Peter Serafinowicz.

After making the jump to Netflix, Judd Apatow has set quite a cast for his next comedy, The Bubble. Karen Gillian, Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, Maria Bakalova, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann, Pedro Pascal and Peter Serafinowicz have joined the film.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterThe CW has made a number of orders for the 2021-2022 season, including a pilot order for the live-action “Powerpuff Girls” series.In total, The CW announced three pilot orders and one straight-to-series pickup, with the latter being a reboot of the USA Network series “The 4400.” The other two pilots are for the DC project “Naomi” from Ava DuVernay and Jill Blankenship and an untitled religious dramedy from Claire Rothrock and Ryann Weir.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterABC has picked up three comedy pilots for the 2021 pilot season.Two of the pilots — a reboot of “The Wonder Years” and “Maggie” — are single-cams and will be produced by 20th Television. The third, an untitled multi-cam from Regina Hicks, is produced by ABC Signature.The “Wonder Years” reboot was originally announced as being in development back in July.

Queens, a drama about a 90s hip hop group from Zahir McGhee, and Epic, from the team behind Once Upon A Time, are the latest projects to be handed pilot orders by ABC.
