Cheryl Hines is breaking her silence on her husband’s presidential run.
On Wednesday (April 19), Robert F. Kennedy Jr. officially announced that he is running president in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election.
Several hours later, the 57-year-old Curb Your Enthusiasm actress released a statement reacting to the news.

“My husband, Robert Kennedy Jr. announced today he will be running for President and I support his decision,” Cheryl shared in a statement obtained by People. “He is a fearless leader who understands the needs of the American people and has devoted his life fighting for democracy.”
RFK Jr, 69, is the son of late U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and the nephew of late President John F. Kennedy.
Back on April 6, RFK Jr filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to run as a Democratic candidate for president in 2024.
RFK Jr is an environmental lawyer and a longtime anti-vaccine conspiracist, who was banned from Instagram in 2021 for his anti-vaxx content regarding the COVID-19 vaccine.
While Cheryl is supporting RFK Jr‘s decision to run for president, several of his family members have spoken out against him.
“I love my brother Bobby, but I do not share or endorse his opinions on many issues, including the COVID pandemic, vaccinations and the role of social media platforms in policing false information,” RFK Jr‘s sister Kerry Kennedy wrote in a statement on the RFK Human Right’s website, which she runs.
“It is also important to note that Bobby’s views are not reflected in or influence the mission or work of our organization,” she added.
