Former Chelsea player Joe Cole has explained why he thinks Manchester United were the best team he faced in the Premier League, and not Arsenal's Invincibles.
The debate surrounding the greatest team to have ever played in the Premier League is hotly debated among fans up and down the country. There is little doubt that it takes an exceptional team to win the league over a 38-match season - there is no luck involved.

Jose Mourinho's first season at Chelsea in 2004/05, Liverpool's 99-point haul in 2019/20 and Manchester City reaching the 100-point mark under Pep Guardiola, are often all discussed.
The Gunners cemented themselves in footballing folk-law during the 2003/04 season when they went the entire league season unbeaten, winning 26, drawing 12 - losing none.
However, Cole has explained why he disagrees with this point of view. Cole revealed to Rio Ferdinand's Vibe with Five YouTube channel that he thought the 2007/08 United team he faced during his career was better than Arsenal's Invincibles.
He said: "[United] - Best team I’ve ever played against in the Premier League , including the Invincibles - more depth. The Invincibles had it off for the first season and were a great side but I don’t think they won multiple leagues, won the Champions League, and went the distance in finals.
"Squad depth, Tevez, Ronaldo, Rooney, three of the best players in the world playing. Giggs, Scholes, Carrick, Owen Hargreaves, Fletcher, great team. The Invincibles second, a very close second."
