Julianne Moore, Oscar Isaac to Star in Spotify Podcast Thriller ‘Case 63’

Both Moore and Isaac also serve as executive producers on the podcast.“Case 63” follows psychiatrist Eliza Knight (Moore), who records the sessions of an enigmatic patient, registered as Case 63 (Isaac), who claims to be a time traveler. What begins as routine therapeutic sessions quickly turns into a story that threatens the boundaries of the possible and the real.The series, plans for which Spotify announced last fall, is an adaptation of “Caso 63,” Spotify’s most-listened-to scripted original podcast in Latin America, originally produced in Santiago, Chile.

Emily Longeretta For the first time, stars of multiple reality shows on numerous networks are coming together for a new competition series. “All Star Shore,” produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, is set to premiere on Paramount+ on June 29.The show includes cast members from ABC’s Bachelor Nation, Netflix’s “Love Is Blind,” MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” “Geordie Shore,” “Acapulco Shore” and “Rio Shore;” VH1’s “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and CBS-turned-Peacock’s “Love Island.”The cast will live “at the ultimate shore hose” in the Canary Islands and compete in party-style challenges, including “Party Pong” and “Shots and Found,” battling for a cash prize.The show is the just one way Paramount+ is expanding its reality TV lineup.

John Hopewell Chief International CorrespondentBrazilian writer-director Caru Alves de Souza, whose second feature, “My Name Is Baghdad,” won the Crystal Bear for best film at Berlin’s 2020 Generation 14plus sidebar, has been selected for the Pop Up Film Residency 2022 program.Alves de Souza will use the Residency to develop “Lonely Hearts,” her new fiction feature.The award was announced Saturday at Cannes Marché du Film by Josephine Bourgois and Rachel do Valle, executive director and program director at Brazil’s Projeto Paradiso, which is backing the prize, and former Cannes Critics’ Week programmer Matthieu Darras, creator of Pop Up.Alves de Souza will participate in the mentoring program for the development of a fiction feature, which runs over three weeks, in August, in Vilnius, Lithuania. She will receive a Paradiso Scholarship and travel support in the amount of Reais 5,000 ($1,000), in addition to becoming part of the Paradiso Talent Network.
