With 2023 fast approaching, consumers might be planning to space out some of their big purchases.
And while that is a great idea, as you aren't spending your cash all at once, buying appliances in a certain order may also help you with managing finances. For example, if you are planning on buying a telly and an air fryer, you may be able to save by getting your air fryer in September and your TV in November.
This is because certain appliances and devices cost less at specific times of the year. With that in mind you are as well picking up a product when it's likely to be at its lowest price, according to experts.
As reported by the Mirror, comparison website PriceSpy has carried out research to reveal the best months to buy certain products based on past data.
PriceSpy found the following items were cheapest during these months, with the average price shown below.
May isn't included in the above data as PriceSpy found it wasn't the cheapest month for any household items.
Liisa Matinvesi-Bassett, UK country manager at PriceSpy, said: "Kitting out a home is an expensive undertaking, whether it’s out of necessity or simply wanting to upgrade certain items.
"Spreading the cost by staggering purchases over a number of months is always sensible, but knowing the best time to buy certain items will make your money go even further.
"Not to mention giving you the satisfaction of knowing that you snapped up a product at the best price at the best time."
She continued: "If you know what you want or need to buy, set up price alerts on a service like PriceSpy to be notified when they drop in price. That way, you can hit ‘buy’ as soon as the price works for you."
