Manchester United youngster Charlie Savage does not yet know what his plans are for next season following his return from a short-term loan spell at Forest Green Rovers.
Savage, who is the son of former Wales international, Robbie, joined the Gloucestershire outfit on loan during the January transfer window to bolster his chances of earning regular first-team football. He made a total of 15 appearances for Rovers, scoring one goal, but it was not enough to stop them from being relegated from League One.
Savage's short-term stint at The New Lawn marked the first loan spell of his senior career, meaning he will have gained valuable experience from his stint with Duncan Ferguson's side. He was one of United's breakout stars of their pre-season tour last summer, along with Zidane Iqbal, and a loan spell at some point this season felt like a much-needed step in his career.

It is, of course, possible that United could send the youngster out on loan again next season to store more experience under his belt, but he still has ambitions of making the grade at Old Trafford.
"I think it's tough to say at the minute," Savage told the Press Association, addressing his plans for next season. "Obviously it's everyone's dream to make it at United when you've come through here as a boy, so I have to work as hard as I can and see where it takes me."
Though Savage was sent out on loan in January, he had worked closely with United's first-team squad and manager Erik ten Hag prior to his departure, gaining plenty of insight into the Dutchman's methods.
