EXCLUSIVE: AMC Networks streamer Acorn TV has teamed with New Zealand broadcaster TVNZ to commission its latest original — a romantic comedy set on a Kiwi vineyard, led by The Crown star Charles Edwards and Wanted actress Rebecca Gibney.

Naman Ramachandran Streamer Netflix has commissioned a reboot of popular Australian young adult series “Heartbreak High,” with Fremantle Australia producing alongside Dutch production company NewBe.NewBe acquired the rights from Brian Abel, partner of the late Ben Gannon, who created and produced the original.The original series played out over seven seasons from 1994 to 1999.

Netflix is reimagining the popular 1990s Australian teen drama Heartbreak High for a modern audience as part of a deal with Fremantle Australia.
