Charles fears Harry will 'take down' Camilla with 'honest' account, source says

Kate Middleton has been announced as the latest in a long list of famous faces to read a book on CBeebies Bedtime Stories.This Sunday, the Duchess of Cambridge will read The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark on the children's channel, becoming the first member of the Royal family to do so. But the 40 year old is not the first member of the Royal family to read a children's story on television, and is actually following in the footsteps of her father-in-law. Prince Charles, 73, published his own children's book, The Old Man of Lochnagar – which he wrote to raise main for The Prince's Trust – back in 1980 and, four years later, he took to our screens to read it.

Prince William has reportedly given his seal of approval for Camilla to become Queen Consort when Prince Charles is crowned, it has been claimed. The Duke of Cambridge, who is second in line to the thrown, is said to be happy for his stepmother to take the role following Queen Elizabeth's statement on Sunday, where she said it would be her "sincere wish" for Camilla to be recognised as Queen Consort. A source has revealed Prince William, 39, has accepted 74 year old Camilla as part of the family after seeing the happiness she brings to his dad, 73.

By law, the Counsellors of State include the Sovereign's spouse and the next four people in the line of succession who are over the age of 21. At the moment, Prince Harry, 37, his brother Prince William, 39, their father Prince Charles, 73, and his brother Prince Andrew, 61, are the four people who form the Counsellors of State.Two or more of the Counsellors of State are appointed by Letter Patent to act in Her Majesty's place in the event that she is unable to undertake official duties on a temporary basis due to illness or absence abroad.

Prince Harry is said to have held secret talks with his father Prince Charles in a bid to heal their rift.The Duke of Sussex, 37, reportedly "reached out" to his father the Prince of Wales following their fallout last year.
