Channel 4 viewers have been left in tears after Big Brother star Davina McCall spoke about the "horror" menopause symptoms she suffered in a new documentary named Sex, Mind and the Menopause. In the documentary the TV presenter explored how menopause can affect the mind as well as the body, with memory loss and brain fog decimating women at work.
The footage showed The Masked singer judge her weeping outside the Houses of Parliament during a menopause protest. It comes after Davina explained her difficulties with the early stages of menopause, known as perimenopause, and how the symptoms sparked fears she had a brain tumour. She explained on BBC's Sunday Morning show: "For me when I lost those hormones – or in fact in perimenopause, the hormones go up and down so you think you’re going completely mad – I felt that it aged me, I felt that I was going to be irrelevant, I felt embarrassed because I’d always been at the top of my game."
