FANS of Come Dine With Me will be pleased to hear a spin-off series will hit the small screen later this year. The popular Channel 4 show sees a group of hungry contestants compete to throw the top dinner party of the week, and it has given viewers endless hours of entertainment since first airing back in 2005.

One of the best moments has to be when sore loser Peter Marsh threw a tantrum after fellow contestant Jane scooped the win. The network has brought a few spin-offs to the table over the years, including Couples Come Dine With Me and Celebrity Come Dine With Me, and now it’s dishing out yet another.

Come Dine With Me: The Professionals is set to offer self-contained episodes focusing on three restaurants in the same area as they battle it out to earn the title of best independent restaurant.
