Central Cee makes Top 5 debut with Doja on Official Irish Singles Chart, while Kate Bush holds strong at Number 1

Kasabian are outselling this week’s top five albums combined with their recent LP ‘The Alchemist’s Euphoria’.The Leicester band are currently on course to top the UK albums chart with their first record in five years.It is currently outselling Beyoncé‘s ‘Renaissance’, Harry Styles‘ ‘Harry’s House’ and Ed Sheeran‘s ‘=’, according to the Official Charts Company.Kasabian previously topped the charts with 2017 LP ‘Crying Out Loud’, ’48:13′ in 2014, ‘Velociraptor!’ in 2011, ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’ in 2009 and ‘Empire’ in 2006.The record is Kasabian’s first full-length effort since the departure of ex-frontman Tom Meighan in 2020. Meighan was fired from the band after being convicted of assaulting his then-girlfriend-now-wife, Vikki Ager.

Nadine Shah will appear in a new production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ when it opens at the new Shakespeare North Playhouse venue in Prescot, Merseyside next month.The musician’s official Twitter account declared on Friday that: “This autumn, Nadine will be making her acting debut in a production of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’ directed by the incredible Matthew Dunster. All hail the Queen of the fairies!”Shah will play Titania in the show, while David Morrissey is also in the cast playing Oberon.The production is co-directed by Jimmy Fairhurst from Warrington-based theatre company Not Too Tame, who says: “Most people have seen a version of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ but this is a refresh of the real bones, the warts and all of the play.

Harry Styles is back at Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart with Harry’s House, edging out Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE which made a chart-topping debut last week.

Singer Kate Nash dropped an exciting teaser on her Instagram last night (August 11) as she prepares to release the music video for new single, Wasteman, which features actor Danny Dyer and his daughter Sunnie, 15. Naturally fans have gone wild over the teaser clip, which sees Sunnie making her acting debut and Danny, 45, using his acting skills in a new way.

Central Cee has announced a world tour for later this year, which includes a London and Dublin show – tickets will be available here.The rapper, who released his second mixtape ’23’ in February, will hit the road for a run of North American headline shows in October before heading to Europe at the end of that month.His European leg includes stop-offs in cities such as Madrid (October 31), Barcelona (November 1), Paris (7), Amsterdam (10), Berlin (13) and Stockholm (17).On November 20, Central Cee will take to the stage at the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin ahead of returning to the UK to play Alexandra Palace in London on November 22.
