Geordie Shore cast member Marty McKenna has revealed the Celebs Go Dating agents slapped him with a sex ban during his time on the E4 show. Speaking exclusively to OK! the 27 year old reality star revealed the show’s relationship experts Anna Williamson and Paul C Brunson issued him a stern warning so that he could learn more about himself and why he’d never dated in the past. And despite finding it difficult, Marty admitted it ended up being a huge “wake-up call” and resulted in him wanting to find a relationship, rather than enjoy one-night stands.
Asked what the toughest part of the show was, Marty told us: “Probably when I got slapped with a sex ban. That was the hardest thing.” Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter. The MTV star added: “I always thought I could get to know people - but I usually got to know them in the space of five hours, not four dates.” “So when they said it, it was a bit of a wake-up call.
I suddenly realised, 'F**k me. I must get about if they’ve slapped me with a sex ban.'” This realisation led to Marty reflecting on his raunchy past and what he wanted to change about himself and his relationships in the future. Marty, who previously dated Geordie Shore co-star Chloe Ferry, continued: “My past is no secret.
I used to enjoy sleeping with loads of girls, it was never an issue.” He added: “But I don’t want to keep doing that. It’s no good not remembering girls that you slept with, it’s disrespectful.” Meanwhile, Anna, 40, and Paul, 46, said they’d seen huge progress in Marty throughout the process, despite having reservations about him joining the agency when they first heard.
