The Red Arrows have issued an update on whether Tom Cruise is likely to fly with the display team following a meeting between the two at a recent air show. The 'Top Gun' star met with the display team at the International Air Tattoo on July 16. Following the meeting, which was described as an "epic" opportunity to "speak about aviation, teamwork and Top Gun" by the Red Arrows Twitter page, rumours have been swirling over whether Mr Cruise is set to join the display team for a flight anytime soon.

Tom Cruise is taking a lower fee upfront for starring in the next two “Mission: Impossible” films, which sources say leads to a meager paycheck in the $12 million to $14 million range, but he commands a significant percentage of the movies’ first-dollar gross. That means that Cruise gets box office bonuses before the studio even breaks even.

Tom Cruise is marking his 60th birthday in style, watching the British F1 Grand Prix on Sunday. The  star attended the event in support of Lewis Hamilton, who cruise said is a «great friend.» Cruise was all smiles in the VIP section of the event in Northampton, England.

A number of famous faces were out in force this weekend as they flocked to Silverstone to watch the British Grand Prix get underway, where Lewis Hamilton hopes to scoop another victory this season.
