Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star Shannon Courtenay has said that she was "in bits" seeing Pete Wicks knock himself unconscious on the show, resulting in him being medically withdrawn. During the latest episode on Sunday, The Only Way Is Essex star, 33, was seen floating face down in the sea after jumping from a helicopter with reality star Ashley Cain in a helocast task. Rescue swimmers raced to help Pete, who also broke his ribs, and flipped him over in the water as the reality star then made his way to medics on the shore, where he was told he needed a chest X-ray and was medically withdrawn.
Yet Pete wasn't the only star to leave on Sunday's show and Amber Gill was forced to quit after failing to complete a physical challenge on the beach. Talking about Sunday's dramatic episode and Pete's scary moment in an exclusive interview with OK!, Shannon said: "So going into the show, we quarantined and whatever else, and in the show you don't really see it as much, but I was so so close to Pete. He even said I was the closest one to him there.
"But what you don't realise, I was on the helicopter looking down at his body facing face down. I was in bits. And I was like: 'What's wrong with Pete? What's happened?' and he was just face down.
"Then I had to do the task afterwards. And that, you know, that freaked me out obviously. And then my partner was Amber but again, I was so close to her, and she quit during the task.
