Casualties cut from car as cops close Scots road following 'serious' crash

Emergency services dashed to the scene on Maidencraig Crescent after the alarm was raised at around 1:50pm. Dramatic photos taken by a bus passenger show in the vehicle in the middle of the road engulfed in flames.

Dundee.Emergency services were called to the scene on Balunie Drive at around 4.30pm on Saturday, August 21. Officers had received reports of a crash involving at least two cars while two fire crews were also asked to attend.

Fife. Police confirmed that the driver of the white van had been arrested following a "short pursuit" which started in Dunfermline and ended in Mossend Terrace, Cowdenbeath.

Cops raced to reports of a collision to find the vehicle overturned in the middle of the road late last night. Officers from the Road Policing Unit shut down the road while they dealt with the incident.
