It’s true that they’re not in the Champions League right now, but I’m excited. I haven’t spoken with Cristiano Ronaldo yet, but I’m excited to play with him again. I’m so keen to get started, with the biggest club in England. If it was up to me, I’d play for them already tonight against Liverpool. But, I know I haven’t won anything there yet.”
On Ronaldo's future, he said: “I hope Cristiano stays, I want to play with him again, he’s incredible."
It is no surprise that the Brazilian is excited to reunite with his former teammate once again given the previous admiration that Casemiro has shown for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner. Ronaldo featured alongside the Brazilian at Bernabeu between 2013 and 2018, and the pair are believed to have shared a close relationship in the Spanish capital.
