Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has heaped praise on five of his teammates for their influence on his form for the Reds so far this season.
Casemiro was named in the FIFPro World XI for 2022 on Monday, capping off an incredible weekend in which the Brazilian also starred in Sunday's Carabao Cup win over Newcastle. After heading home the opener in the first-half, the midfielder anchored United's dominance as they clung on for the win.
The 30-year-old has been a revelation since joining from Real Madrid last summer, a near-ever present in Erik ten Hag's midfield with his experience and mentality improving everyone around him - a relationship that the Brazilian insists works both ways.

“I'll say it again, it's impossible to do it on your own,” Casemiro told United Review. “There's the quality of my teammates. There's Licha [Lisandro Martinez] and [Raphael] Varane - high quality players. Christian [Eriksen] who I played alongside for a long time, another exceptional player. Fredinho [Fred], another excellent player, then there's Bruno [Fernandes] who plays a bit further forward, a world-class player.”
The triangle of Casemiro, Varane and Martinez in particular has laid the foundations for a solid United side under Ten Hag, with the Reds still competing in every competition available to them at the start of the season. Wednesday evening sees an FA Cup fifth round clash against West Ham United at Old Trafford, while progression past Barcelona in the Europa League has set up a meeting with Real Betis in the last-16.
United are eight points behind Arsenal in the Premier League table with 14 games to go.
