Former Loose Women panellist Carol McGiffin has claimed that none of the show's panel ever liked former This Morning host Phillip Schofield. Carol, 63, made the claims during an interview with Dan Wootton on GB News, shortly after 61 year old Phillip broke his silence in his own bombshell interview with The Sun and the BBC. She claimed nobody on the ITV show has said "a good word" about the TV presenter, who revealed he had "lost everything" after the affair came to light.
"I don't know anybody who's actually ever said out loud that they really like Phillip," said Carol. "I don't think he was liked by any of the Loose Women, I never heard anybody there say that they actually like him and no one ever really had a good word for him." The TV presenter went on to claim that the handover section on This Morning was made "uncomfortable" because Phillip was "dismissive" and even said she thinks Phillip is trying to "take the fall" for the ITV bosses. She said: "I'm pretty certain that [Phillip] is trying to take the fall for them all.
And the way I see it, they're so arrogant. Most TV bosses are the same. They're really arrogant. "They think they're invincible and they just think 'right, let's just carry on, move along, put Holly back on the show, let's just get back to normal and everything will be alright, Phillip's apologised and it's all going to be okay', but it's not going to be okay." She added: "I think genuinely that This Morning, this show can't go on.
I think it's way too tainted." OK! have contacted ITV for a comment on Carol's claims. At 6am the BBC released an interview with Phillip Schofield where he revealed he had "lost everything" following the affair. Read the biggest bombshells from the interview here.
