Cannes Moves Market Dates to June

Discovery has spent much of the last few years explaining why it got out of the drama business.

Depop and Vinted for several years, older groups are likely to be persuaded by secondhand bargains moving out of traditional charity shops and into mid-market mainstream store chains. Asda announced last week that it is testing out secondhand clothing in 50 supermarkets, and John Lewis and Ikea are launching schemes to sell used furniture and fashion.

"One of the first things I said to James was, I think Harley is a catalyst of chaos," Robbie tells Total Film in the new issue, headlined by The Suicide Squad. "She’s not necessarily your narrative center, and sometimes it’s great when plot points can rest on other characters’ shoulders, and she can be the thing that erupts a whole sequence of events.

With the lack of a Cannes (and a regular film festival circuit) in 2020 due to the pandemic, there were multiple reports that a lot of filmmakers were going to hold their work back until there could be a semi-normal event to premiere. Well, judging by early reports about which films might show up, it appears that Cannes 2021 could become a truly star-studded affair with some huge projects debuting at the event.

Marion Cotillard and Adam Driver are heading to Cannes. Annette, the new musical drama from French director Leos Carax, starring Cotillard and Driver, will open the 74th Cannes Film Festival, premiering in competition in Cannes on Tuesday, July 6.
