A young Livingston athlete has been rewarded for a hugely successful debut season on the Highland Games circuit, writes Shane Fenton.
Lothian Running Club ace Amber Cunningham picked up prizes at her first event at Markinch in June and went on to compete on the circuit every weekend until the season concluded in mid-September.
And she racked up the prizes with a string of impressive results that saw her recognised at the Royal Scottish Highland Games Association award ceremony, where she was crowned Female Youth Athlete of the Year.
