Britney Spears to make musical comeback in epic collab with Elton John

It's official: Britney Spears' highly-anticipated comeback single "Hold Me Closer" has already reached the top spot on charts around the world, just hours after its release on Friday. The pop princess teamed up with music icon Elton John to remix his 1971 beloved song "Tiny Dancer." Shortly after its official release on midnight Friday, the tune shot up the iTunes charts in the United States, along with 34 other countries, including England.  "Hold Me Closer" combines elements of John's "Tiny Dancer" and "The One," featuring a dance beat that is accompanied by vocals from John and Spears.

Spears claims that her father and Tri Star took advantage of her finances throughout the conservatorship and has made damning allegations about their alleged behavior towards her, which she has categorized as “conservatorship abuse.” The judge recently sided with the singer, ordering that her father must sit for a deposition this month, and ruling that she would not be deposed.

Britney Spears’ ex-husband will be spending the rest of the summer in county jail after agreeing to a plea deal to avoid felony charges. It all started on June 9th for what should have been the happiest day of Spears’ life when he live-streamed himself trespassing on her Thousand Oaks, California home ahead of her wedding to Sam Asghari.

Jason Alexander, the ex-husband of Britney Spears, has been found guilty of aggravated trespass and battery charges, California officials say.  Alexander, 40, pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charges on Thursday, according to the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.  Alexander was arrested at Spears' residence on June 9, where she and her husband Sam Asghari were tying the knot. Authorities say Alexander – who was not invited to the nuptials – damaged a door and battered a security guard who attempted to remove him after he refused to leave the wedding.

Britney Spears, 40, is set to return to the music scene in a collaboration with Sir Elton John. Details of the project are limited but the new track is called Hold Me Closer, a spokesman confirmed to the PA news agency. It had been previously speculated that the pair were working on a new version of Sir Elton’s 1971 hit Tiny Dancer.
