BRIT Awards have been announced with the event set to be staged for the first time on a Saturday.The bash will be held on February 11 at the O2 Arena and will be broadcast on ITV again for the 30th year.Award organisers also announced that Managing Director of Atlantic Records, Damian Christian will be taking over as Chair of the BRIT Committee for 2023.Commenting on the new date, Christian said: “The BRITs is the biggest night of the year for the UK music industry, and we want as many eyes on it as possible as we showcase the best and most diverse British talent.
Moving the show to a Saturday will breathe new life into the iconic ceremony, while also introducing a new and more engaged audience.”It comes after this year’s event attracted its lowest audience ever in overnight figures pulling in 2.7 million viewers.While this was the lowest in the show’s history, a drop from 2.9 million viewers for 2021’s event, this figure didn’t count viewers around the world who streamed it digitally on YouTube or catch-up service ITV Hub.This year’s event featured performances from Adele, Ed Sheeran, Little Simz, Dave, Liam Gallagher and Sam Fender – along with a surprise appearance from Bring Me The Horizon.Adele was the big winner on the night, taking three awards including the coveted Album Of The Year for her fourth LP ‘30’.Other winners included Little Simz, who picked up Best New Artist, while Wolf Alice won Best Group after their third album ‘Blue Weekend’.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan has shared a behind-the-scenes snap from an upcoming The Walking Dead spin-off also starring Lauren Cohan. The pair are reprising their roles as Maggie and Negan from the main post-apocalyptic zombie drama in The Walking Dead: Dead City. In the black and white picture, posted on Jeffrey’s Instagram, the two stars cosy up to one another in their characters’ costumes.

The show was announced in March 2022, originally titled Isle Of The Dead, before the main show’s final set of episodes in October this year.The early announcement met some confusion as it revealed Negan and Maggie would both survive beyond the main show.

HBO/HBO Max picked up 38 Emmys in total, doubling their 19 wins in 2021. HBO took home multiple awards in the limited series category thanks to “The White Lotus'” 10 wins, with Mike White winning for both best writing and directing. Those wins were coupled with “The White Lotus” stars Jennifer Coolidge and Murray Bartlett’s wins for best supporting actress and actor in a limited series. To close out the night, “The White Lotus” ultimately won best limited series while “Succession” won best drama series.

The 2022 Streamys — the annual awards recognizing the internet’s most notable video creators, shows and brands — will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Dec. 4. The show will stream exclusively on YouTube for the fifth straight year. Marking its 12th year, the 2022 Streamys will feature more than 45 award categories, including Creator of the Year, Show of the Year and Breakout Creator. The program also features the Streamys Brand Awards, launched in 2018, which spotlights brand advertising innovation.
