BREAKING: Emergency services rush to street after woman hit by car

A woman was hit by a car in south Manchester this morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Lapwing Lane in west Didsbury after the crash at around 8.40am. Police said a woman was hit by a car on the road.
She was not seriously injured and was being assessed by paramedics at the scene. No arrests were made.

Pictures showed multiple police vehicles stationed on Lapwing Lane earlier this morning, as well as an ambulance. The road was blocked off near the junction with Burton Road as emergency services responded.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 8.40am this morning to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The woman has not been taken to hospital yet, she is being assessed at the scene.
"There have been no arrests."
