Brazil legend Gilberto Silva has called upon Erik ten Hag to start Brazil duo Casemiro and Fred together in the Manchester United midfield.
United signed Casemiro in the summer as they looked to strengthen their midfield following the departures of Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic. On his arrival the 30-year-old initially struggled to break into the first team thanks to the form of Scott McTominay.
Casemiro has since managed to work his way into the starting line-up and he impressed on Sunday, following an early mistake, in the 2-1 victory at Everton. Fred meanwhile was an unsung hero for United last season thanks to his performances in an underwhelming team.

But, with Christian Eriksen also arriving in the transfer window, Fred has had to rely on cameos off the bench to try and show Ten Hag what he is capable of. At international level with Brazil, Casemiro and Fred have formed a very solid partnership and Silva has told the United boss to give it a try in upcoming matches.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror at the launch of #Brazil 2002: The Real Story', the 46-year-old said: "He [Casemiro] can contribute a lot. He's got quality.
"What he's achieved in the last few years of his career, it's amazing. Coming here [United], of course it's a new challenge.
"But he knows the route that brought him to success. I really want to see him as he has done in the national team with Fred.
"I hope the combination will be great. If both of them play like they do in the national team with Manchester United, [they'll do well]."
