Brandon Williams has named Juan Mata as his best-ever Manchester United teammate, labelling him as a 'magician.'
Williams has shared the dressing room with plenty of top-quality players - the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Raphael Varane and Paul Pogba, to name but a few - since making his United debut in 2019 but it's Mata who has earned the honour of his greatest colleague at Old Trafford.
Mata left Manchester after seven-and-half years this past summer during which time he became a firm fan favourite thanks to his dazzling skill, iconic goals against Liverpool and the significant role he played in the club's last trophy triumphs. The Spaniard was also appreciated by his teammates, as Williams reveals.

"I'd probably say Juan Mata, because he's a magician on the ball," Williams told GOAL. "He takes control of games in the way he plays. He's a good guy off the pitch as well - he speaks to us and he helps us."
Mata's hunt for a new club came to an end earlier this week as he joined Turkish giants Galatasaray on a free transfer, signing a deal until the end of the season with the option for a further year. The 34-year-old can't wait to get going in Turkey.
"I feel so good. I am excited and very motivated," he said upon his unveiling. "I'm grateful for being here. Everyone is being very friendly. I can't wait to win with Galatasaray.
“Everyone told me what a nice atmosphere this place has. I'm waiting for the moment when I will experience this. I can't wait to fight in front of our fans. Galatasaray is the team with the greatest success in Turkey. It is also a club that has a place in the history of football. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.”
