A Bonhill resident is set to hold a Halloween fundraiser in aid of Robin House in memory of his partner as he embarks on a revived DJ career.
Jamie Duncombe, 46, lost Colette Docherty at the age of 41 last November to ill health.
When Colette first fell ill, Jamie took a step away from his DJ work and became a carer for her.
Big-hearted Colette donated much of what she could to Robin House in Balloch, which is run by Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).
As a fitting tribute, Jamie will be holding a Halloween fundraiser at the Burgh Bar in Dumbarton’s High Street in her memory for the children’s hospice.
Jamie said: “My partner passed away last November. It is just coming up to her one-year anniversary, and I’ll not lie, it has not been easy, but you have to just keep going on.
“She had ill health, and some complications with diabetes, but there was more to it.

“She passed away last year, and this is me getting back into it.
“Robin House was close to my partner’s heart, so I am doing it as a tribute to her as well.
“This is my hometown, and I want to do it for my community.
“Everyone needs a bit of escapism at the moment, so this will be perfect folk to get their mind off their troubles. We are hoping for as much money as possible to help the sick kids.”
The happy hardcore Halloween party is in the Burgh Bar lounge on Saturday from 8pm to 2am, with tickets priced at £3 at the door.
The former owner of the Burgh Bar, John Bundy, is helping Jamie run the event.
He added: “With the cost-of-living crisis at the moment, I know people don’t have much, but Robin House is a charity that needs donations the most. Every
