Nick Vivarelli International CorrespondentNewly named Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences CEO Bill Kramer is set to attend the upcoming Venice Film Festival along with other Academy senior leaders, in what is being touted as the first time an official AMPAS delegation makes the trek to the Lido.Kramer will attend the fest’s opening night on Aug. 30th and subsequently meet with international AMPAS members, industry professionals and press.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Monday promoted Jenny Galante to a new role at AMPAS, executive vice president, Revenue and Business Development, Academy CEO Bill Kramer announced Monday.Galante, who has been with the Academy since 2013 and most recently was SVP of Business Development, will step into the newly created position and report directly to Kramer. As part of her role, Galante will drive global revenue growth for the Academy across platforms – including special events, Academy member initiatives, international programs, digital platforms, the Academy Screening Room, talent development and inclusion programs, the Academy Museum, the Margaret Herrick Library, the Science and Technology Council and the Academy Film Archive.

Jacqueline Stewart has been named the new director and president of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the museum announced on Wednesday. She succeeds Bill Kramer, who left that position to become the CEO of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on July 1.Since 2020, Stewart has been serving as the chief artistic and programming officer of the museum, which opened last year.
