A year of drama. From Bachelor Nation to the Real Housewives franchise to Love Is Blind, 2022 had its fair share of reality TV feuds.
While filming season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, sisters Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton got into a heated fight during a cast trip to Aspen, Colorado. Although the altercation wasn’t captured on camera, fellow RHOBH stars shared their reactions to the drama during an October episode.
“My head is definitely in a fog after what happened last night. It’s way worse than a hangover. We were at the club and Kathy was having an absolute meltdown. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life,” Lisa Rinna told the cameras. “I am not saying a whole lot ’cause I’m still in shock from what I experienced. It’s not something that I would’ve ever imagined coming from anyone in this group, let alone Kathy Hilton.”
The Days of Our Lives alum continued, claiming: “She [was] screaming she ‘made’ Kyle. Kathy’s responsible for Kyle and she said, ‘I will destroy Kyle and her family if it’s the last thing I ever do.’”
The estranged sisters hinted at the bad blood between them when RHOBH producer Alex Baskin shared a trailer for the season 12 reunion — which featured footage of Kyle crying — via Instagram in October.
“Why is she upset and crying? I’m the one who [was] bullied and percacuted [sic] for 10 months,” Kathy wrote in the comments section.
Kyle shot back: “Why? You know exactly why.”
Fellow Bravolebrity Teresa Giudice also dealt with sibling drama in 2022. When the Real Housewives of New Jersey star married Luis Ruelas in August, her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga, decided last-minute not to attend.
“That’s my only family. So, what do you think? Yeah, it was devastating,” Teresa

Too blunt for his own good? Howard Stern has gotten into feuds with David Letterman, Lena Dunham and many more stars throughout his career.
Yes, we’re not quite over with last year. But we’re getting there today, don’t worry.
Remaining unbothered! Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Melissa and Joe Gorga may be dealing with an ongoing family feud with Teresa Giudice — but daughter Antonia isn’t letting the drama phase her.
And that’s a wrap on 2022! From Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez to the British royals, celebrities stole the show throughout the year on red carpets and beyond.
It seems this time of year every critic is going to weigh in with their 10 Best List for something or other. It is what we do at the end of the year, and 2022 is no different. And as I always do , I cheat. So, sue me. In what has turned out to be a very good year I think for movies, considering the sad state of box office success for the more ambitious and adult-aimed films out there, it has actually been heartening in this still pandemic-affected era to see the Hollywood studios so heavily in the game of producing quality crowd pleasers that also are good enough and deserving enough to make any of these lists, unless that is you are one of those grumpy critic-types who only go for the most obscure anti-entertainments out there. That ain’t me. I like to cheer on what I call movie movies, and I don’t penalize any of them for making some money along the way and bringing back audiences. If they are good, big or small , they are worth championing and so this annual ritual is just another cog-in-the-wheel of doing just that. Now for the “cheating” part.
Mention it all! The Real Housewives of multiple cities had an action-packed 2022, filled with divorces, legal trouble and general drama.
There’s a lot of talk about how 2022 was a ‘flop’ year for film. The quality of the movies was constantly called into question without considering that many of these films were shot during the height of the pandemic where money, space, and resources were limited. Regardless of what anyone thinks, this year produced some phenomenal cinema, with even better performances. My best of 2022 list is meant to highlight some of the titles that left an impression on me. The choices range across genres from action, drama, documentary, and animation.
As always, Bachelor Nation delivered the drama in 2022. While the final rose led to several splits — and cheating scandals — other former Bachelor and Bachelorettes found their happily ever after this year.
He’s got that hotline bling! Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice’s husband, Luis Ruelas, went all out for Christmas this year — by gifting her four daughters their own Cartier bracelets.
Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga are not seeing eye to eye. And it sounds like this sustained feud is going to go on a LOT longer judging by their very, very separate holiday plans!
Family drama takes center stage in the trailer for The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13. Teresa Giudice and brother Joe Gorga are at odds in the explosive preview of the new season that debuts on Bravo Tuesday, February 7 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo with a 75-minute super-sized episode. Watch the trailer in the video posted above!

If you’re tapped into the world of Film Twitter, you probably noticed that social media exploded recently when Sight & Sound updated its Best Films of All Time list. People were debating for weeks about what films would end up getting booted out of the top 100, which would have huge leaps in popularity, etc… It was a whole thing.
The documentary form continued to flex its power in 2022, delivering stories and perspectives of astonishing breadth and sometimes granular artistry. What stood out were the movies that didn’t take their issues or subjects at face value, but rather sought something more resonant about the workings of the world, or even told us more about ourselves and what’s possible.
2022 marked another banner year for documentary cinema. They have inspired us, informed us, and taken us on unforgettable journeys.
