Britain’s Got Talent viewers were left disappointed after Born To Perform failed to make it to the final of the show. The dance group, whose members have various disabilities, won the golden buzzer last month after winning over BGT judge David Walliams. For last night’s semi finals, Monday 30 May, Born To Perform did a dance to an array of toe-tapping songs which was enjoyed by the panel, so much so that David threatened to leave BGT if they didn’t make it through to the final. Chatting to the group after their performance, David said: “I’m so pleased for you.
I’m so proud I got to press the golden buzzer for you guys, and that was exactly what I hoped. It was full of joy, full of love, full of passion, and it’s how you want the world to be.” Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter. He went on: “This is a very, very special group and if you are not in the finals on Sunday, then I’m leaving this show.” Co-judge Simon Cowell then jokingly jumped up and applauded the idea of David leaving the well-loved ITV talent show. Despite David’s enthusiasm, sadly Born To Perform didn’t make the cut for the finals, sparking viewers to express their disappointment on social media. Someone wrote: “really shocked that Born to perform didn't get enough public vote gutted is a understatement #sad”.
“Justice for Born To Perform, my winners deserve the wildcard! The pure joy they bring to everything they do is so beautiful,” penned another. A third person went on: “I would have loved to have seen born to perform go through to the finals #BGT”. “Such a shame that Born To Perform didn’t make it, they were legends!” added a fourth viewer.
