Silva himself recently admitted that he loves Manchester City and has insinuated that he's much happier to be at the club this time around than he was last season, when he asked to leave the club.
Speaking of his bid to leave Manchester last year, Silva told the Times in March: "I was feeling a little bit alone at the time in England and I wasn’t very happy with my life. And if you’re not happy, you don’t do your job as well as you do when you are happy. I was well physically, but if you don’t do your job with a smile on your face, you’re not going to do it as well."
On Wednesday Silva broke his silence on speculation surrounding his future this summer, which included a not-so-subtle reference to how happy he currently is at the club – a far stretch from his mindset in summer 2021.
