Leo Barraclough International Features EditorGreenwich Entertainment has taken North American rights to dark comedy-drama “Concerned Citizen,” which had its world premiere in the Panorama section of the Berlinale. Salzgeber has taken the rights for Germany and Austria.
Berlin-based sales outfit M-Appeal is selling the film.Idan Haguel’s film, a satirical parable on the insidious ways in which privilege can unleash the prejudice within, centers on Ben, who thinks of himself as a liberal and enlightened gay man, living in the perfect apartment with his boyfriend Raz. All that’s missing to complete the picture is a baby, which the couple are trying to make a reality.Meanwhile, Ben decides to improve his up-and-coming neighborhood in gritty south Tel Aviv by planting a new tree on his street.
But his good deed soon triggers a sequence of events that leads to the brutal police arrest of an Eritrean immigrant. The guilt trip that ensues will fundamentally challenge Ben’s vision of himself and his society, in the process threatening to destroy his relationship and aspirations of fatherhood.

From CJ ENM, it has acquired rights in the Nordics, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Australia to relationship format, “EXchange.”“Bloody Game” launched in Korea in November last year, helping draw subscribers to Wavve, a joint venture streaming platform, in which MBC is a partner. The show is nominated for a C21 Format Award, with the winner revealed during MipTV.

A series of rides, attractions, theme park lands, retail outlets and even themed-hotel rooms inspired by the “Jumanji” franchise are coming to theme parks and water parks across Europe and North America.Sony Pictures Entertainment has entered into an agreement with Merlin Entertainments and their brands to launch several “Jumanji” branded attractions, including the first to open at Merlin’s Gardaland Resort in Italy in April. “Jumanji – the Adventure” will open at Gardaland next month, and the ride, on which Merlin teamed up with Oceaneering and Framestore, will transport guests into the exocitc world of Jumanji and is described as a “dark ride” that will have “pitfalls, surprises and dangers through the wild jungle.” Opening alongside the ride will be a series of Jumanji hotel bedrooms.
