BBC Unveils Jeremy Paxman’s ‘University Challenge’ Replacement

Vanessa Feltz has revealed that she is joining TalkTV following her departure from the BBC.The 60 year old recently announced that she had quit BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio London after nearly two decades on air, and has now unveiled what her next career move will be. Vanessa is set to take over TalkTV's three-hour drivetime show from 5 September, with current presenter Jeremy Kyle, 57, heading off to host a new primetime show on the network which will be launching in the autumn.

Dara Ó Briain is keeping his spirits up despite Mock The Week being axed from BBC. The comedy panel show was scrapped after nearly two decades earlier this month, with the Irish presenter – sarcastically saying at the time that the ‘UK has finally run out of news’. ‘The storylines were getting crazier and crazier – global pandemics, divorce from Europe, novelty short-term prime ministers,’ he said in his announcement.

The Mirror reports. The star who was a student at Girton College, Cambridge, has experience with quiz shows having hosted QI since 2016, and bookmaker Ladbrokes puts her at just 2/1 to take over from Paxman. The second favourite is another former Cambridge University student Richard Osman at 3/1.
